1988 Honda Accord Clutch Adjustment HELP
i just purchased a 1988 Honda Accord, and the clutch slips horribly, but i want to adjust the cable before i change the clutch to see if the cable isn't stretched or anything. My question is how do i adjust the Clutch cable on it?
there should be a small amount of play when you pull the cable off the adjuster stop rubber on the bracket.
a bit hard to describe...
grab the cable itself and pull it up. spin the adjuster down until when you let go, the arm just falls down. basically you want it to just let pressure off so there is not constant tension on the pressure plate.

hmm, that sounds like it could help, i was just checking it out and the cable is holding the arm(where it attaches too, don't know very much about cable) very taught, i wonder if this is causing the clutch slippage. I'm kinda hoping that it's not allowing it to totally engage hence the slipping. I'll take pictures as i go so that it can be more help to people with the same problems.
