Default replaced shifter bushings. shifter is wobbly.

So my friend replaced my shifter bushings for me. I was hoping it would solve my wobbly shifter problem. But it didnt

It looks like its in neutral when its in first, and second.

We inspected it from the top after we removed the center console. And it seemed like the ball part on the shifter had some extra room to move around.

I have a b20 swap. so i dont know if its the original crx shifter. maybe they dont fit snug with the b series shift linkage.

everything was tightened down nice and snug.

any ideas?

My 2 cents (without pics).. It has the STOCK crx shifter in it, with b series linkage. Compatable??

So what would you have to do to fix that problem? Cause I'm having the same problem with mine

really?! never knew that, i just transfered the whole shifter part over to the b-series linkage. oh well, i need a new linkage and shifter anyway, the linkage I got was bent where the shifter bolts to and now doesnt line up straight. Hasport and B&M are first on my list.

Try putting rubber bushings on the linkage were the shifter meets up .

fwiw, a lot of the slop in an old shift linkage is at the U joint near the tranny. its not serviceable without remachining or welding a new ujoint on.
