Default CRAZY idle problem...annoying as hell help!

ok this may be a little confusing but im goin to explain the problem im having to the best of my ability...
i start the car up wen the engine is cold and it idles at 1500..the bounces quickly from 1500 to 1800 up and down CONSTANTLY all i hear is bwa bwa bwa bwa bwa... the car warms up and idles fine then i hold the throttle at 1500 and its back to the bwa bwa bwa....
i unplugged the tps and plugged it bak in and it does the same thing but at 2000 rpm this time? im so lost...could this be a tps issue? changed the iac and still get the same thing! any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

fitv or iacv can be the problem.. there are plenty of posts on H-T about what to do for those problems.

take off the FITV, which is located under the throttle body (I usually take off the whole throttle body) and remove the two small bolts holding the rear cover plate on. Now use a flat head screwdriver and turn the white valve all the way in until it stops. That should solve your problem.

have fun

do either of you have vacuum leaks? try adjusting the idle screw all the way in and then backing it out a half turn.

Checked for vacuum leaks - no obvious ones! Idle screw will not budge, never did!

Have you checked your coolant level? This can also cause what you are describing.

Buy some carb cleaner and spray it all around the intake manifold area and anywhere you see a vacuum line. If you hit a leak, the RPM's will go up.

When you say that the idle screw won't budge, you mean you can't turn it left or right? Try to get that sucker unstuck and do as .Manny. said. Good luck to you man. Idle problems can be insanely tricky.
