hi guys...ive been having issues with my tranny. if i get on it and shift to 2nd sometimes it wont engage and feels like im hitting a brick wall or it will just miss and grind. last night i went to a track event and now sometimes the car gets stuck in 1st gear and im having trouble shifting gears 1-3. the tranny feels like theres obstruction.... any advice on how to diagnose would be very appreciated.

First thing is to check fluid levels in both clutch resivoir and tranny itself. I seem to think that it is more serious, like debris in the gear drives. How is the clutch engagement. The clutch slave sometime leaks a littl and you have to bleed it. Mine seized and I had to replace it. I was having a real had time getting into gear.

 

thanks ill check that out....someone told me its the shift linkage? any 1 have similar problems?

 

When checking the shift linkage make sure both bolts are in all the way at shifter end. I had one come out and the other half out and had similar shifting issues. I still never figured out how they came loose. I just check them last week and they are ok.

 

did you ever come up with a solution/diagnosis? just curiousl.

 

i had the same problem and did was said above. try it out if you havent figured it out
