whirring noise because of alignment?
Ok I just got my car running and drove it and its making a whirling noise comming from the drive side wheel area. Most of what I read says its a bad wheel bearing, but I do not want to spend $60 without a better idea of what it could be. I have new wheels, tires, engine swap, and coilover conversion.
During the engine swap, I had take the whole break hug assebly off the car (including the upper controll arm) and replace the lower controll arm ball joint. I also had to repair replace an axle boot...all on the driver side witch is where the noise is comming from.
Would you say this is still a wheel bearing problem? Or with all the other modifications, would an alignment problem do this? The noise is only when driving and gets loulder with higher speeds.
