gsr spitting oil...PLZ HELP
Aight everyone i just swapped a gsr motor into my EG...when I go to start it up it turns over and and idles like normal but the thing is after like 2-3 seconds after it turns on oil sprays outta the back of the motor and it looks like it comes from right under the intake manifold...l from between the head and the block, but that would mean head gasket but last time i heard if the gasket breaks it should be coolant that leaks out not oil besides the point the head gasket is new....well please someone help me with this thanks alot Honda-tech
it could be that u put the head gasket on backwords . It happen to me once for talking and not paying attention. It was coming out under the intake mani right at the corner between head and block.
i would check the oil pressure sensor and the oil cooler and oil filter. if it is not coming from there then i would check the head gaskets for any leaks. just clean up the area where the leak is and start it up and watch where the leak is coming from.
if you checked everything then im sure this is your problem...i did this once myself...ahaha funny shizz but you only learn from your mistakes

two other things it could be to...my buddies car was doing that too. on his h22 there is freeze plugs in the back of the block..well one wasnt bolted up and it was squirting oil out. or maybe the oil pressure sensor on the back of the block was taken out..but then you would throw a CEL i think.
you sure that sounds like the $1.50 gasket behind the oil cooler that goes out all the time that sounds exactly like it look at the front of the motor on left bottom corner of the head and block where the the head gasket comes out there should be a silver stamp on the edge of the headgasket if its there than the head gasket is on right but did you torque the head correctly?

I would think the car wouldn't run very "normal" if the head gasket was on incorrectly, but I could be wrong. We accidentilly put my friend's HG on wrong and didn't catch it until we were almost done torqueing the head studs down... took the head off, flipped that bad boy over and retorqued. Cometic FTMFW!!! **** still runs lol
