Default Need advise on doing a LS swap into my hatch

Well i have a 1991 Civic hatch with a stock d15b1 motor 4speed
and im planning to swap a 1991 B18A1 LS motor inside that i just picked up that is pretty much complete ive got the mounts transmission, linkage, ecu, axles but i still gotta go to the junkyard and grab the wires that goes from the ecu to the engine and the fusebox and i needed also some advise on the dashboard harness because i wanna keep mine but dont know which wires i would have to connect to the LS harness if someone could help me on that i would really appreciate it and as far for the swap any advise would be really helpfull since i never have swapped a B-series motor in a civic hatch only have done on a integra with a same motor but that about it.

which part of the stock harness are u talking about the one to the ecu into the engine compartment but y not just grab the whole complete integra DA harness except for the dash harness tho just wanna know what i gotta connect from there to get that running or will the MPFI conversion eliminate that?

The DA harness will not plug into your underdash of your DPFI honda.

Just use your existing wiring harness for your civic dx/std. Everything will plug in, you will just have to run a few wires into the engine bay. It's really simple process.

Since you are running a Dx or STD model, no other engine harness will plug into your underdash, which is why you cannot use the DA engine harness for your car.

Also the stock mounts on the LS will NOT bolt into your EF. You will have to purchase EF B series mounts with cable trans mounts from Hasport or Innovative. Those would be the 2 I would suggest looking into.

For the mounts if you are strapped on cash go Ebay.
As far as wiring, the MPFI conversion is pretty easy and you can either run the DA (pr4) ecu or the 88-91 civic Si (pm6?)
Its been years but I think those are the correct ecus that will plug in.

you wil need to convert to mpfi. buy ls harness and splice it into you std harness. theres's some on Ebay for $130 +15 shipped (already ready to plug and play).
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/88-91...Q5fAccessories

you need a resistor box for injectors.

you need 90-93 integra axles with half shaft (intermidate shaft).

pr4 obd0 (90-91 integra) ecu or if converting to obd1 (92-95 integra LS) ecu

you will need civic dx or si or integra 90-93 integra spindles or hub since civic 4spd or std won't fit. Use your civic upper control arm if you are using integra spindle. Integra upper control arm will leave a big camber on your car.

mounts you will need b-series mounts. If you are using a 90-93 integra tranny(trans) you need to buy cable b-series mounts. If hydro (94-up) tranny(trans) you will need hydro b-series mounts.

your indash plug will plug into the 90-91 ecu (obd0) if obd1 (92-93 integra).

as far as shift linkage goes 90-93 linkage will not fit. You will have to custom made one by cutting the integra and shorting it to fit or your best bet is to buy a aftermart one. Hasport go for $135 with free shipping on EBAY.

Thats all i can think of.

well im taking the tranny off the motor tomorrow and gonna clean the motor a lil bit but anyway here are some pics of the motor and my car mine is the red one the white one is my brothers

auto intermediate shaft will need to be modified if you can get a manuel one it would be easier to just bolt on...

yea i still need to get the manual intermediate shaft and axles
but i just picked up the integra DA hubs and DA spindle and DA resistor box for the injectors but im still not to sure how to do the mpfi conversion cuz i do wanna use my dx harness instead of buying a si harness ... but i still need the axles, manual tranny and motor mounts and im planning to buy the hasport shiftlinkage so i dont have to weld my old one.

oh yea btw freeagent how much did u get ur innovative mounts for? and where
btw ur ef build is coming out nice
