I've got this valve tapping away, I adjusted the clearance to .015mm and it's still tapping away. I did it in the morning before the engine was started. I've got the Helms manual and I did how they explained. Should I tighten them down even more. I did have the head sent out to Gude could this affect the tolerances?

 

valve tap noise is common on hondas to begin with. even after i adjusted my valves it still made the noise.

 

I really don't think it should be making this noise!

 

you can safely take .001 to .002 off of the honda measurements if you want the tick to go away

 

Hmm I just had a valve adjustment today. I mean it still taps but I barely notice it...
