sry my phonr wont let me exceed 200 characters in one post. anyway, i wanted to run low boost around 6 psi with a small garrett tutbo not sure exact size yet. but my compression test yeilded 230 acros

and i know the stock cr is rated at 10.6/1 anyone have experience with the usdm type r engine with any kind of boost? any heat problems with that compression? i know i need a good tune and i have

precision 440 injectors. just looking for input. i may do a cometic headgasket down the line any experience with those? any input would be appreciated

You need to think more in whp and not psi. Alot of people are pushing those motors to over 300 whp safely bone stock with a good setup and Hondata or some kind of engine management. Some even more power than that on a stock motor, just not as safe. But your best off doing a simple piston/ rod setup.

thanks for the response homie, honestly all i really want is around 240-250 if that. all motor this thing is a blast and ive thought about throwing some pistons and rods in but didnt know if i should

For that power level, the stock engine as it sits (assuming it is in good mechanical order) with no need to do pistons, rods, headgaskets, etc.

thats what i was thinking as well, just was looking to see if anyone else had done it on here and if they ran into any heat problems and what sort of timing they ran. and sorry about the earlier posts, didnt realize the phone ****ed it up that bad

No problem. Timing and other specifics are mainly left to the tuner. So he will determine the amount of timing you need. Again, heat is not a problem when it is done correctly.
