2001 gsr aftermarket steering wheel question i have to cut wires off?
i read somewhere you have to cut srs wires off , something to do with the reel,
is this true? i really dont want to do this....
also if i get a boss hub kit will i be able just to buy a quick release for this? its a typical 6 bolt pattern momo steering wheel so im assuming i'll be fine?

just unplug it and pull the whole thing out and a quick release should work i think the nrg is the momo 6 bolt pattern
1) Removal of the OEM airbag is illegal for a street car. Something to keep in mind.
2) Simply unplugging the SRS plug will result in the SRS light being active, always. (pull the bulb to disable)
3) This will disable the passenger side airbag as well.
4) If your insurance offers a discount for airbags (mine does), and you disable/remove them, you might not be covered and/or be committing insurance fraud if you do not inform your insurance. Again, something to keep in mind.

no need to cut the srs cable reel. just follow the steps to remove the air bag and disconnect the connectors on the srs cable reel.
