Earlier coming home i hit a huge dip.
It was horrible. CEL came on.
i ran the code and it came up,
Catalyst low efficiency. What does
that mean?

 

no real idear. but isn't the stuff in the cat called catalyst? maybe try the 2ed o2

 

google the code, you'll get a detailed walk through

 

the cat is not working like it should. low efficiency not cleaning up the exhaust polluntants like it should... prob bad cat or downstream o2 sensor

catalyst efficiency i believe is the cat converter, which means if you have that code your obd2, so you need to check what you damaged underneath the car. Hopefully you didnt rip the sensor wire out or something along that line.

 

Crawl underneath and check your sensor for damage. If it is not, then pull your cat and look at it to see if the honeycomb is damaged.
