ok so the last two weeks in my spare time i been swapping an OBD1 JDM d15b into my brothers 96 civic ex. I noticed the oil cap had something on it but didn't really look at it until today, i have never seen an oil cap like this, obviously the writing is made onto the cap, stating "honda" "twin cam" (yet motor is sohc so i know it came from another engine) "works" - didn't know they made old caps, unless thats not the manufacturer, and then a strange honda "H" with an incomplete box around it- looks like someone tried to make that but using some kinda of manual machine process.. Have any of you guys ever seen one of these before? were gonna rock it on the motor anyways but i was just wondering if it was rare or if anyone knew anything about the oil cap.

 

the brand is called Feels honda Twin Cam. Look it up just like that Its Jdm for sure but i am not all into that stuff to tell you the rarity of it but i would just rock it over the stock one hah

is it me or does it look like it is supposed to resemble countertop granite ? The second picture makes it seem like it is just really dirty though haha

no its not dirty, i did clean it, it does have that granite look and feel to it, and the Honda H apparently is something Feels did then because its raised metal, not dug out with something.

 

well i'm gonna look into it, my brother is clueless about it and not big into jdm stuff or know about it, and since i have a jdm b18c in my teggy and its twin cam, maybe he will trade me for my polished chrome one, ha.

 

Nice oil cap, but i honestly hate metal oil cap because when it gets hot you have to get a towel and twist it off.

Where the OEM cap doesn't get hot.

 

Yup, definitely a FEEL'S oil cap.


Its just one of those over-priced crap that people love to buy. Its nothing special, just an oil cap that does the same thing as the $5 ones.
If I were you, i'd either keep it for the bragging rights, or clean it up and flip it for more.

I think maybe they used a rocklinizer (sp?) on the die to create the effect.

 

not sure, all i know is its a neat oil cap, i've seen more than my fair share of honda's and thats a first for me, i can't even find an imagine of it anywhere online
