Default battery light

91 civic w/ b18a1 obd0... a couple days ago my alternator took a dump so i replaced it with a rebuilt one from autozone, then 2 days after that the alt belt snapped so i replaced it with a new one from autozone. problem is when i first start the car in the morning the battery light comes on and stays on for about 10mins and the car does not perform well when you accelerate and gets horrible gas mileage. when the battery light goes out the car performs normally. this happens every 10-20mins. so today i thought i'd change the battery out for a new one and it still doing the same thing... im getting fraustrated with this.. any help for this would be appreciated... thanks

Guessing grounds.
Check all 3 of them.
Take them off and polish them up with steel wool.
Spray them with anti-corrosive spray if you got it.

Are you getting a Check Engine Light as well or just battery?

thats wierd that it would do that becuase getting an alternator dripping wet wont harm it. its the sensors and plugs that usually short out and what not.

An Alternator is basically a reversed electric motor, and when cleaning custom electric motors, people usually put them in a bucket full of water and run them to clean it.

checked it all.. i even redid my wirings cause i did the mpfi.... i notice that when the battery light comes on and when the turning signals are used the battery light would blink too... kinda like alternating between the turn signals and battery light... also when stepping on the brakes it would blink really dim and fast... im thinking there might be a short somewhere or a bad ground...damn this thing is fustrating me.. any pointers on what to do next?

you could have the wrong type of alternator. like it could be too weak that belongs to a different sub model.

what exactly do you have, becuase it could be that your alternator is just too weak?
Car?
AC? Power Windows? Electronics?
Type Engine?

Replace you blinker fluid, exhaust barrings maybe the battery & alternator but I doubt it. But if your luck is bad, it's a bad ground wire! Those are the worst, If that's the case, your car is donezo.. get cash for your clunker asap!

You are extremely dumb... Cash for Clunkers is OVER and has been over for about a month now.

Also FYI there is such things as muffler bearings you clown; have you ever heard of a Jaguar? There are more cars then just that but that is the oldest one with "muffler bearings".

Good one, you suck at life.

look up sarcasm in the dictionary. If I didn't know Muffler barrings existed, how would I know to mention them? And as for blinker fluid, AKA common water or "condensation" in taillights...headlights....ect...ect... causes frequent electrical system failure!!! As for cash for clunkers, I didn't pay any attention to the start date or end date because I dont own a clunker. You sound a little bitter and know a great deal about it, did you miss getting that sweet cheese for your P.O.S. and your stuck with it? I think so.......

God how I love talking ishhhh on Honda-tech. I gets me hard enough to do your mom.

I owned you... just lay there and take it...

Oh and by the way they sell blinker fluid on that site as well as a flux capacitor... Great Job!

LoL you clown... Cash for Clunkers was a government run program and it has ended child. That advertisement is just that and it gets idiots like you to believe that you are getting something you are not. The program was only good for up to $4,500 anyways. Thank you for showing us how stupid people are from your state... Wepwesanten! (not)

cash for clunker ran out of money withing the firts two weeks then obama gave them more money and the program ran for another week or two since then the money has been depleted gone mising insuficiant funds not available so no money = no program you understand learntointernetsearch homie and get you facts straight.

As for what you heard in the radio it is a dealirship program to make buy a car. sure they will give you 4500 but at msrp or a little bit of markup
