3Gen Prelude **Ls/V-tec vs H22**
* i have a 88 lude si (runs). it is completly stock with the b20 2.0 in it, its also a automatic. *
my goal is to upgrade the engine with either a Ls/V-tec I already have Including wiring harness trans. or looking for a H22 and starting with that. I also live in AZ and have a kid so this will be my daily driver and it needs to include AC.
I know the H22 has already been done before but i havent herd of any one dropping a Ls/V-tec yet is it possible? and if i dropped either, would there be room for AC?
Ls/V-tec --- its a GSR head with a Ls bottom and a si tranny. i have some b16 pistons and a stage 1 clutch and lightend fly i was gonna throw in it.
H22 --- i dont have .

your other thread gave you the info u needed its not gonna change because you stat a new thread your platform is not the most popular platform so aftermarket parts are very limited to you
what a waste of a motor? versus putting the H in and having the same power stock? ***** with that. you can have you girly little lsvtec in your civic and keep the H for preludes.
Lol. girly. H series motors are junk point plank. I own both civic and prelude and by far the prelude is the biggest piece of **** ive owned. Heavy, Slow, and problematic. So u can keep your Boat prelude with w/e junk motor you have, and ill keep running times in a 1/4 u cant run in an 1/8th.
put the h22 in the civic. thats where its at. i have a 91 lude too and its not worth it to do the lsvtec. your better off doing the b20 vtech. the h22 isnt worth the money and time in the lude
This thread is funny. My "boat" that weighs a bit over 2K lbs does just fine with my H22 and i'm on track to run low 13s if not break into the 12s with my all OEM engine build. Maybe you're just a shitty mechanic, but my prelude, and all my friends preludes are very reliable, and the ones we make quick, we make quick.
But yeah, I guess the H motors do suck, thats why civic people take out their lsvtec setups and put an H in?
I have an 90 H23VTEC and it was worth the money for what it does. Heck, go figure, I dumped a B20 for it

You will never see me bash civics either. Trust me, I had one one with a b18c. It was fun, but stock for stock, civics (IN STOCK FORM) just don't compare.
$ for $ the H22 is a MUCH better platform. For the money it costs to swap the civic and build, you can have a built "boat" a comfortable boat at that, that will eat the civic.
