Default not starting up after crash = engine is done?

My car was in a hit and run accident and front driver side is damaged. The enging was pushed back little bit due to the impact. I tried to start it up, but it would not crank neither turn over. Battery is still operational. Driver side CV boot is busted and splatter the grease all over the place, but apparently no oil leak.

Does it mean the engine is damaged and done?
I'll tried to post pictures later on.

Do you still get battery power to the starter?
