OK took me 6.5 hrs to....
took me 6.5hrs to jack up car, put it on jack stands for the first time, remove the front bumper, install a transmission cooler, remove my AEM CAI, put on the DYI IceBox, replace my MSD coil. That was a ton of work for me, all i did in the past were a few intakes and wire fog lights and amps. I'm proud that i save some money doing those thing by myself and with the help of my dad. Do you guys think i was slow? think i can install a greddy turbo kit in 12 hrs? there were problems that i ran into here and there and thats what took so long.
Umm...it's not a race dude. Doing things fast is not nearly as important as doing things right. Take your time and you'll find you do a better job. But then again what the hell do I know? I bet you can install that turbo kit in 6 hours if you sniff some coke and don't take any smoke breaks ;-)
If you haven't installed a turbo kit before it will take a lot longer than 12 hours. Take your time and do it right. Or you'll spend a lot of time doing it over. Good luck.
Yeah, don't rush at all. When I'm installing anything now I think about what I'm about to do before I do so I don't F anything up like I have in the past by trying to rush. That its pretty good timing though, I would go by the quality of work and not even care about time.
it took me about 30 hours to complete my turbo install .. guages, wiring, hondata, turbo kit itself, etc.
definately TAKE your time and do everything right the first time. with a greddy kit though, you wont run into the problems i had with my setup but unforseen issues will pop up ... they always do

not too bad. puttin on a turbo will take you days, if it took you almost 7 ours to do what you just did.
hey trigun, you sell your turbo and stuff already?

Just curious, what made you go from AEM to DIY? I'm all for the home depot racer (in fact I currently use the BSQ-box intake) but I thought AEM would show (marginally) more power. What gives?
i still have all my turbo stuff ... haven't tried to sell it yet
only the intercooler is pending though. i'm going to remove everything then figure out how to sell all the parts.

i already dynoed it at dsr last month
plus the turbo is already off and i'd be damned if i want to spend 50 bucks just to see my car pull 145/115 or something

Hey integrx, how does the car run with the DIY icebox? How do you like it?
