Default v-tec swap in crx

i put a eg sohc in my crx and it wont start the moter was in my friends ef and was running
the moter cranks and trys to start but seems to choke and spits out smoke frome the manifolde i took everty thing from his car jumper harness ecu any ideas

thowing any codes? do you have spark, fuel, compression?

1990 crx dx
ecu-p28
moter-94 eg obd 1
still has obd 0 injectors and the stock dizzy that came with it
it is getting fule and it has spark

wrd you HAVE to run the dizzy that is supposed to go with that motor. rywire has a nice little dizzy conversion plug to convert to obd1 so you dont have to cut/splice/solder/heat shrink wires.

other wise your **** will be spitting and coughing like an asian at a massage parlor

ya i converted my old moter to mpfi befor the swap and i used the jumper harnes for obd 1 but the dizzy got the plug cut and rewired but it starts now but u drive down the street and it dies out and wont start tell u let it sit for a while

You can't use an OBD-0 Distributor with an OBD-1 ECU... the reluctor teeth are different and will completely throw off the ECU... You need an OBD-1 ECU and since you are running OBD-0 injectors you need a resistor box. Either that or get OBD-1 injectors.

Also try and type better... it helps when people are reading what your problem is. This way they do not have to sit there and decipher what in the world you are saying.
