help me i got some stereo questions*****
so i plan on buying an single in dash deck but need some help. what does the watts actually mean?? im debating between a 45w(alpine CDE-102) and a 50w(alpine CDA-105). and do you guys have any other recommendation in the 100-200 area with ipod connectivity (thats a main).
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...?model=CDA-105 for the win.
The wattage given 45 and 50 watts are peak/max output, the 105 is 4x18W RMS into 4 ohms. 94

true but will i really notice the 5watt difference?? and i dont mind using the aux in the front because a lot of my friends informed me that scrolling through your ipod through the stereo is a hassle and said itd be much easier doing in through the ipod.

Buying from unauthorized dealers is risky at best, no guarantee what your getting is real, [not a knock off] that it's not a refurb or a recalled for salvage.
In the log run if you have any problems it will cost you about the same, if not more then if you get a deal at an authorized retail dealer.
Support your local authorized retail dealer, or at the very least an authorized online dealer.
but i love the deck, its great,
There are decks that have the ipod connection in the front, or you can hardwire the ipod to the rear of the deck and have the connector coming out somewhere as one option.
Or there are various decks in your price range(if you are in a hurry to buy) that have the option, as mentioned, of having the ipod connection in the front of the deck.
As I suggested in another thread to someone looking for a deck, you could try and save up a bit more to increase your budget and get a deck that gives you more options/flexibility over your setup.

genraly it can just be poped right out, possibly try a small flat head and gentaly push it bewteen the deck and the trim plate, and wiggle it around and see if it pops off.
