need help turning off SRS light

Default need help turning off SRS light

So I changed my steering wheel from stock to a grant gt wheel... after removing the airbag, my SRS light is on as I expected... does anyone know how to shut it off? By the way its a 92 civic VX if that helps

you can't just take the plug out from back of the cluster? its green or yellow i think, its the same side as the srs light right behind it.

I can't find the MES plug on this car.... if somebody knows exactly where it is, that would be great... I gues im just gonna have to disconnect the bulb

LOL, I've been asking that question here for a while and nobody seems to know (this is for 93 and older civics). The 94 and newer seems to have the MES connector on the fuse panel under the driver side dash.

From what I've been reading, I think the MES connector for 93 and older civics is under the far right passenger side dash area (under and to the right of the glove box). But I can't seem to find it. There is something there that has wiring (a brown connector) but I'm not sure if that's it.

Its the yellow 2 prong plug on the right lower corner of the fuse box... its plugged it, but its a dummy clip... its used to reset the srs light put its not located there on some 94 and older models... I forget what it stands for tho, sorry

if you just want the light off, unplug the plug thats directly behind it on the back of the gauge cluster. Thats what i did when i went to the ref and i still haven't plugged it back in. I have a 92 hatchback. Or is that not what your trying to do?
