Bad Caliper?
Ok so earlier this year I replaced the front rotors and brake pads on my 6th gen civic after believeing I had a warped rotor on the driver's side. The pad was grinded down unevenly with one side down to the metal and the other with a lot of meat still on it. The rotor was also in bad shape.
So I thought that was the problem however now after a few months of driving I've noticed that after a drive only the driver's side rim will get extremely hot. I Check all the others and will just be warm, but this one will be hot to the touch. Also tons of brake dust accumulated on this rim only coating the entire rim and caliper.
This is leading me to think that the piston in the caliper must be stuck and constantly pressing the pad on the rotor. But I dunno could it also be another reason?
I'm about to buy a new caliper assembly to put on unless someone with more knowledge steers me in a different direction. Thank you.

I probably don't need to change the whole caliper right? Are there certain components that just need to cleaned/lubed or replaced? I found repair kits for seals around the piston.
If there is a DIY online I can find probably could, doesn't seem that hard to do but I don't know the procedure yet. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being air intake, 10 being headwork how hard would you say?
I found a good DIY thought I might post it. The procedure is fairly simple especially since I have an air compressor. It's for an Acura RSX but it's basically the same caliper.

Your caliper could be fine. Check the slide pins! Make sure that they are free moving. I had a slide pin seize on me and caused uneven pad wear and rotor warping. The cause of the seized slide pin was that the rubber boot for the pin cracked and all the grease oozed out and invited water and rust to the party.
