d16 int. manifold on d15... does it work?
I know this is gonna sound like a dumb question but I haven't been on my honda game for a loooong minute now, and I could just find a thread that already helps me out, but I gotta my sleep, got work in the AM... my question is, since VX throttle bodies are specific for that model, not like how b16 throttle bodies fir on d series intake manifolds, are the VX manifolds also specific? Can I bolt a 1.6 manifold, (preferrably from a y8 engine) to the 1.5 head? I just need a little reassurance before I spend money for no reason... thanks for the help
You're not going to want to put a Z6 intake manifold onto a VX motor though. It'll make it lose power and drive slower.
The D15Z1 (VX) intake ports are about the size of a 50 cent piece and the larger bore of the Z6 (si/EX) manifold will cause an unwanted tumbling effect and make the car slower than it is now.
Just leave the Z1 alone. Pull it out of the car along with teh EGR control box and sell it to someone that wants to save gas with it. Then swap in a Z6 to your car.

yes you can put any SOHC d-series intake manifold on your D15. D15 and D16 SOHC share the same intake flange design.
