Default There Has To Be A Way For THE B20v TO WORK!!!

Set up is a B20z block p72(gsr) head.

I recently did a valve job and currently putting the head back on.

PROBLEM: B20Z Block And Gasket are set up for the Dial Pins(Head Stud GUIDES) on the intake side.

P72 head is set up for exhaust side.

I have the lsvtec b20vtec pins that are bigger on one side and smaller on the other.

but either way it doesnt work.

This is the tricky part it came out this way but now when i put it back its not fitting correctly the pins will not fit through the head gasket.

i dont wanna drill new holes in the head on the intake side because it was working another way before

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

pull the dowel out and find on what hole on the head the smaller size fits on....than take note of that, than place the bigger side on the block and see if it's going to fit on the same side....make sure the head isn't being installed with the intake side facing the front of the block...

wait so the dowel pin holes on the intake side are different size than the dowel pins on the exhaust side? make sure the head isn't backwards (I know you're not that stupid..)

from there I recommend getting big dowels for the side with small dowels, then widening the holes on the headgasket for big dowels everywhere.

or just modifying the headgasket again - but that's kinda ghetto.

done fast, done cheap, done right - pick two.

overnight shipping = $$$$

fast and right, but not cheap.

or homedepot improvised parts = cheap and fast. but not right.
