ok i just picked up a turbo kit for my forged b18b1 but im running a stock ecu how much boost can i run on it i have it converted to obd1 btw. i plan on getting a hondata soon but i really want to run some boost im inpatient can i run it or should i wait

 

What's a forged b18b? You better go to the forced induction forum and search there.

 

Be impatiant and boost and watch your motor go BOOM lol..

Dude leave it the hell alone untill you AT least have a base map for your setup burned on your ecu even then dont boost on it untill you have it dyno tuned or.. you can ignore me and ruin your so called forged ls and you should of posted to f.i section maybe a moderator will move this soon.

 

I agree with the above, you well want to have it on a dyno with atleast the minimum crome on a obd1 ecu if your gonna slap a turbo on it and get it tuned properly. You would probably detonate the motor after not to long (eg. a few days at the most?) without proper tuning.

 

Man, do your research before putting that kit on your car. Honda were not made to run turbos so you need a descent ecu setup to run it correctley( hondata, neptune rtp, etc.) And make sure to upgrade your fuel system. Simple engine, air,fuel= bang! More air means you need more fuel and the added software in your ecu TUNED!!! To run it correctly or you will be another person posting pics of their turbo setup gone bad. Just my advice. And everyone else that posted above me. Please take it.
