zup guys! im runnin' a jdm itr motor thats should b revvin to 8400, but it keeps cuttin off at 7k. i tried a different ecu n distributor and still doin the same thing. what could b the problem? it runs strong, the vtec pops hard its just that its redlining earty as ****.

what's the year of the car? motor? what harness are you using?

and what chassis is this motor in?

 

96 spec. 0bd1. 94 hatch. ive had the car for over a year now w/ that swap. it just started to act like that recently..

 

The question is "does it still have a CEL" If so that could be your problem...
