ok so basically i can just strip it down and repaint it with high temp paint right?
i just need a paint that good up to.... 1200 degrees? i have no idea how hot it gets haha

would i need to primer it first?

what about this for primer? : http://www.net4sale.com/Shop/pc/view...&idproduct=122

ive seen people just use regular spray paint but im not sure how it will hold. and yes i would use primer just to fill in any fine scratchs. oh and make sure you clean it very well after stripping you dont want any of that left over on the valve cover when your ready to paint

you could have it powder coated, and then not have to worry about it coming off, but again you cant do that yourself. just a thought
