Default testing waters with 3.2TL Motor

guys!!

i just recently bought a 96 4 door GS-R. i know its a little late for me, but i was in the off-road scene for a while.

anyway, my brother inlaw has a 1999 acura tl sittin in his garage. it has a blown tranny. he has no money to fix it. im gettin the car for 2k. the tranny is 1200.

I WAS wondering, Can that 3.2 engine fit my engine bay? im sure it will. i have everything i need to do the conversion. i'll need SOME stuff from the parts store, but that will come as the car is being put together.

Questions: would i need to change the gas tank due to ECU sensing pressure? wiring would also be an issue. any info on the swap would be GREAT. motor mounts would have to be custom.

If i can create this monSTAR, i'd be in a world of spankin over-rated muscle cars. any help appreciated.

The J swaps are getting popular these days. Parts for the swap are now becoming more and more available, like mounts, axles, shifter box, etc.

Search around... there's a few threads floating around.

As you've seen, it can be done, but i personally think its a bit of a waste. That engine, as torquey as it may be, is heavier and lacks the power that something like a turbo B series could offer. I'm all for innovation, but I'm going to stay far away from ever attempting this one. Good luck if you try
