6-speed Legend tranny compatible with the '96 3.2TL?

the topic pretty much explains it. I do not know too much about these cars but I have an offer on a TL and I'm not sure if I wana get it. let me know, thanks

That's a negative. The Legend had the motor mounted "normally," or north to south like most RWD cars, even though it's FWD. Because of this the tranny is unique. I'm not sure if the TL's motor mounts like the typical FWD car, but if it does (I'm almost certain it does) then it's a definate no.

Wow, very knowledgeable. I have found several trannies and now that you've told me they used the same engine, which i figured but wasn't sure, i can continue. The main thing is I need to get all of the linkages, cables, mounts etc. A friend of mine and I will attempt the swap and WILL fabricate any parts neccessary to complete it. How original and sweet would a 6spd 3.2L V6 TL be. Not to mention fast. I would imagine it could hang with a Type R without difficultly, might need a better ecu however.
