S100, please advise
I'm looking to replace the BTC and MAP controller that are running my jrsc with a Hondata upgrade. I was originally looking at the s300 but I really think it's overkill for my application. I'm not a tuner and I don't dragrace so I don't think I need all the options that come with it. My plan is to replace my stock injectors with 440's (already have upgraded pump) run at 6lbs and have it tuned. If I decide to increase boost later on, I'll have it retuned. The cost difference is huge ($200 vs $800). I also don't have a need to toggle between maps on the go. I've tried searching but it confused me even more because there been so many changes to the Hondata systems. If I understand, the s100 now comes standard with the boost option. I'm curious exactly what that "boost option" means because allot of what I'm reading says that a separate boost controller is required anyway. Could someone please clear this up for me? Also, do I need to add a solenoid?
You wouldn't need a seperate boost controler for a JRSC setup.
I would honestly just suggest contacting a tuner in your area and see exactly what they can offer you.
Also take a look into NepTune eprom as it is only $100 for the program fee which is paid for when you go to get your car tuned. The only thing you would need to supply is a chipped ecu.
But if Hondata is the way you want to go, the S100 will get the job done in the hands of a experienced tuner.

"boost option" allows you to tune positive pressure columns in your fuel and igntion tables. It is a must for your setup. It is standard with s100 so i guess its really not an option, lol. As 93turbo16 stated, you dont need a boost controller for your car.
You may have gotten that confused with s300 which has boost control capabilities for turbo applications. No solenoid needed for your setup.
