HELP!! Just bought this car and tryed to smog it...

Default HELP!! Just bought this car and tryed to smog it...

Hey guys,


I just bought this 93 Honda DelSol, I need to register the car so I went down to the smog place and everything passed instead of the "Ignition Timing" I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out with this problem I'm a NOOB with honda's....Need to fix this problem ASAP..

1) Get a timing gun and set the timing back to the correct value.
2) The seller is responsible for making the car pass smog, before the sale. If you bought it without a current (90 days) valid smog cert, you took a risk on it, but the seller is still responsible for making it pass. You can take him to court for it.

Only a non-operational car can be sold in Cali without a smog cert. Anything registered and sold without one is an illegal sale.

very true and that was my fault..he said that the registeration was paid off just needed to smog the car..so after looking over the engine and the car it seemed like it should do fine...but after today..the joke was on me.. kinda mad... but I'll see what I can do is this very expensive to do if I take this car to my mechcanic?
