installing aftermarket sub in 2008 civic SI
I knowww there are threads somewheres. But i cant find the exact help I need.
I am just installing a JL 12 in. and a mono amp into my 4 door civis SI (w/out navi).
I bouight the amp converter kit from best buy that I need so I don't have to get a remote signal from behind the front dash.
I have the power run easily, the ground, and the amp hooked up to the sub fine.
I am not sure exactly what wires to connect underneath the rear dash to the amp converter. This then plus into the amp. But what about the actual remote imput on the amp?
epic failure on my part.

What part did you by from best buy that gives you a remote turn on. Please give me a part number
there are a few LOC's out there that will give you remote turn on output. There is a 12v input, a ground, and they are signal sensing. So when they sence audio they trigger the remote output.
wire colors should be.
blue- remote turn on
yellow- 12v constant
black- ground
white-left positive input
white/black-left negative input
grey-right positive input
grey/black-right negative input
RCA-audio output

Thanksss. I don't have the part # but I got it workin! So now I have everything ran, and tested. Except I didn't run the power wire yet underneath the front dash into the engine bay. Is there an obvious hole I can squeeze it through? Maybe near the cluth or somethin?
i think there are a few pop-outs in the firewall, but honestly, its just easier to drill a small hole. I ran my amp cables through the same hole i ran my fog light switch and just sealed it off with some silicone. never had any leakage problems
Don't ya hate leakage? lol
If you drill your firewall make sure to put something between the bare sheet metal and the wire so the wire shielding doesn't get sliced up and start arcing and catch your car on fire.

haha gata love the leakage
Just make sure that when you run your wires under the hood that they don't touch any parts of the exhaust and cant get pinched in the steering or suspension.
