Default Surface rust on cylinder walls question

So i have this motor that i left sitting in a car with two cylinders full of antifreeze and oil mixture for about six months, and as a result i have some surface rust on my cylinder walls. i am able to clean it up with an sos pad, and it doesn't seem to leave any scratch marks on the hone job. i need to know if i should get a hone job or just clean up the rust and run it as is.

thanks to any and all that can help.

I wouldn't have used an SOS pad but if you got it off there should not be a problem. Having light rust or mild surface rust is fine if you can clean it off. If there is any pitting you should get the motor re-honed. Since you posted no pictures and we are just speculating, if you are worried get it honed and if the hone throws it out of service limit get it bored...
