CYP Sensor problems- cant fix
Im running a B16a2 in a 95 eg VX
Ok so I still have never solved my code 9 issue, atm I am on my 6th brand new distributor all TD-44U's, my first 5 where from autozone/advance/napa and my current one is from Honda.
All the ohms checks are great, we have checked at every connecter and still checks fine even at the ecu. We have even used a broken ecu and cut the pins on the inside to check and see if the ecu connecter was good and it checked great.
We have tried 3 good working Ecu's all P28's We have also tried multiple chips in each ECU.
We are unable to put the ignition timing perfectly on with this problem. Also We have torn down the motor and reset the mechanical timing and its dead on!
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated!!
Tommorow im going to try to get ahold of some stock camgears as i have read that even though they are zero'd out they might not be completly accurate.
I also read somewhere that it could possibly be a diode in the alternator and to get it checked at the local autozone
I also read that its rare but could be a CKF sensor bad at the oil pump but still causing a code 9 to pop
Any other suggestions for me to try out tommorow while im testing this new information or any na's on trying any of that?

Well i did some research it is deffinitly not a CKF sensor since that could only be an issue if I where running an obd2 ecu.
All advice welcome I know alot of people have this problem unsolved.

I had the same problem in my B18c powered OBD1 EG Civic cel kept turning on and it was always CYP sensor, the problem was found to be not enough tension on the cam belt.
