No fuel and I need good advise
I just finished my swap ( b16a2 into 97 ex auto to manual) and it turns over but no fuel. I took the line off the fuel filter and no fuel is coming out. I dont think the fuel pump is on. I checked the fuse under the dash and its good. I used the search but nothing sounded similar to my problem.
is your Main Relay Clicking? Do you have spark? Did you check all your grounds, primarily the one on the thermostat housing? If they are not all connected (especially the one i cited) then the car wont have spark/fuel.
I checked all my grounds the only one that was loose was the thermostat. There is no clicking on the main relay. Dont know if i have spark just know the pump isnt on. It was working fine before the swap.
well make sure you tighten down the thermostat one very well otherwise you will have the problem that you have right now.
Thanks. Does anyone know what all controls the fuel pump ? I never thought it would be the thing keeping me from starting my car when i started the swap or i would of done more homework.
Do you also lack spark? If so, definitely clean and tighten the ground wire connection on the thermostat housing because otherwise the engine will have neither spark nor fuel.
There are actually three different main relay fuses, hood fuse #44 and dash fuses #31 and #13. Check whether any are blown.

yeah i agree, my boy just had that same problem last week when he put his engine in at night. just tightened up that ground on thermostat housing and started right up.
Also make sure you prime the gas so it reaches the fuel rail before you try to start the car.

The 2 things that control ur fuel pump is the ECU and the main relay. So ECU energises the main relay and then the main relay powers the fuel pump. So if you pump isn't priming u have a problem in 1 of 3 places. The PUMP, the MAIN RELAY, or the ECU.
And all that is based upon the grounds.
Well I was giving idea's directly related to the fuel pump and the grounds out in the engine bay are not directly related to the fuel pump but YES u first and for most need to make 200% sure u have good grounds and no missing or blown fuses anywhere. A bad ground (even just alil rusty) can make u pull ur hair out and give u nightmares.
