when you mean race car, do you mean you ecu is chipped or is it just an oem ecu?

We cannot discuss ur immobilizer on this site or help with it. You will need to get the ecu rekeyed for it to work in ur car. Go to apple honda, they will do
it for $90

stock ecu yes and race car as in the one in my avatar. What if i get the switch and key to the ecu i by? i was told i can only use an ecu from an ep3 and not a base model rsx, that true?

thats too much of a hastle imo.. i think there is more then one immobilizer point. i would honestly just go get the ecu switched for 90$.

to answer your second question, ep3 ecu's are not the same as RSX's.

EP3 ECU (CIVIC SI 02-04)- PNF
DC5 ECU (RSX BASE 02-04)- PND

the only way you can get away with purchasing any type of ECU for the k-series motor is if you purchase kpro. which i would suggest in the long run.

i know the ecus arent the same code wise but there the same engine, why cant you plug an rsx base ecu and use that since there easier to find? k pro will be next season since theres only 2 races left and im in the top 5 for points and need sumthin fast.

different sensors for different things is my best guess.. same reason why you would need a conversion harness if you were to put a k20 into an older civic

found out the difference is the eps in ep3 and rsx has a different intake and map sensor setup. Found an ecu for 80 bux and 60 shipped overnite. Lets cross our fingers and hope thats what the problem is

rsx base has a plastic dual runner intake manifold, thats why there is a different ecu
