compression calculating help.
Im getting 12.1:1 and dont think its right. I have seen Zeal calc be wrong before
can somone please do the math and verify what the compression would be?
h23a1 block, rods, crank.
h22 type S pistons
h22a4 head.
OEM three layer gasket
I just dont think 12.11:1 sounds right.
TIA

Ok, I'm getting 10.54:1 using a piston to deck clearance of zero... which is way off from what zeal said.
If you know your clearance, try putting it in here..
CR = (38.06867 + clearance) / (3.61117 + clearance)
edit: My work, anybody see anything wrong?

Unfortunately, it looks like that calculator is assuming you have H22 rods which could be why it gives 11:1. Since yours are shorter, I got 10.6:1 with the pistons being .02 out of the hole. Only problem is, they might not be that far out because of the shorter rods.. ugh.
Right but im using the h23 rods/crank with typs pistons. I used two different calculators and got two answers, 12.11:1 and 12.25:1
I dont see how your getting 10.6:1
