You def need to check your timing as it's probably off a tooth or so.

pull off your covers and crank pulley put it on #1 tdc more than likely your cam pulley will be off a little, take the timing belt off roll your cam to where the "UP" mark is directly up
pull your timing belt from the crank to the cam pulley, use a 12MM wrench and roll the cam towards the front of the car a hair put the belt on all the pulleys and the tensioner, after the belt is on roll your cam back towards the car, but be careful not to roll the crank with it, then you let your tensioner spring back, take a small screw driver or small prybar and pry on the tensioner using the crank pulley as a pivot point, you want less than a 1/4 inch play in the belt

do this and let us know how it feels afterwards

thanks for the help, iam use to mitisubishi's ( ive had a couples turbo dsms) and you have to let the exhaust cam on those roll about half a tooth too far so when u let the tensioner go taught it pulls it into place........but this honda has drove me nutz but then again i was working on it at 3:00a.m.
