i am undecide with what set up should i go with. these are my choices

1. d16y8 full built Turbo set up

2. d16y8 all-motor

3. stay d15b2 make it mpfi and build it

what do you guys think im going more for the turbo set up but let me know what you guys think.

 

Why did you choose these 3?

Whats your budget?

What are your needs and want out of the motor?

What laws/rules you have to meet?

 

I choose these three to stay street legal.I am currently a student, but im trying to get a job with the courts so money wont be much of a problem and I want something that is fun to drive, but I can take to track I dont worry about laws I have a buddy who is a state ref and he wiil check it all out and tell me what u can do. I want all street legal parts so the turbo will be a edelbrock setup with boost controler.

I personally would do a 572 BBC with a quad turbo setup, if I was you.

Either way turbo is the way to go...

you can only be so fast and still be "street legal" go turbo if you have the cash. Do a bit of searching and you will find a lot of nice single cam turbo builds that make great power.

 

B series are over rated seen them get smashed on buy single cams with minor mods and if i do go B series im just adding more weight to my front end as with a single cam turbo set up small weight increase but **** load more hp than a stock B series

if you go turbo, you are no longer street legal in Cali.

 

My suggestion is you need to do more research on your own. Every swap has been covered somewhere in this forum.
