Default good aftermarket cat?

What's a good aftermarket cat? Must pass CA emmissions. I'll probably just gut this POS stock cat out and bolt the aftermarket one on for smog.

gutting your stock cat is a horrible idea. it smells, its loud its annoying and it doesn't have any positives to it.

magnaflow is popular up here since they come in 2.5" not sure if they will pass the strict cali emissions though. i thought you guys had to have a virtually stock exhaust? like jdm headers and cats won't pass {like they will up here}

a.) I'm old school and have gutted cats before.
b.) I'm not sure on the emissions on the jdm headers and cat. I'm sure if you go to a ma and pa place they wouldn't even notice.
