I'd guess primary O2 sensor or a leak.

Just a question, but how sluggish does your car feel at high rpms?

Put some injector cleaner in the tank and set the cam gear back to stock and see what happens.. And unless you are getting a code for O2 then leave it be. EGR has little to do with gas mileage perse...

i was reading a site that sells o2 sensors, saying people dont check o2 sensors until they break. They also said o2 sensors usually go bad before then. dunno, im going to replace mine, and create this o2 sensor extension that *someone* was looking for. *cough* *cough*

Well depending on what the cam gear is set at will determine your power. They really dont make real sense to get unless you have aftermarket cams with different varying lobes for intake and exhaust.. Here is where the gear is most beneficial since you can adjust for the lobes on the cams and get more power out of them.
As most people find out when they buy cam gears and try to squeeze out power out of stock cams they usually end up setting them right back to ZERO.. And I am sure that setting wasnt dyno tuned or anything, so your first step should be to return the gear back to ZERO then work from there..
