Default Oil on spark plug wires.

Hi guys,

I was changing the plugs on my stock 1995 ls (82,xxx miles) and I noticed that the two center cylinders had oil around the base of the spark plugs, one had quite a bit. I've read that it may be due to a bad o- ring? If so is this o ring under the valve cover or do I have to remove the head or another piece to replace this o ring. I took it in for a timing belt change in April. The mechanic told me I needed a valve cover gasket set, would this oring have been replaced if they used a new gasket? If so I'm taking the car back to the shop and going to ask them to correct their work.

Also how serious of an issue is this?

Thanks for your time,
Ian

Theres seals under the valve cover that keep oil out of the spark plugs. Just replace those there like $3 at the Dealer.
