high power alternator?
my teg's battery got completely dead, it read a 0.09 volts, because of my subs
i was wanting to get a high power alternator, and was wondering if
a)this is a legitimate high power alternator
b)if this is enough amps to run my subs (2 10's, a 600 watt amp)
thanks for the help

How old is your battery?
You do not need a ho alternator if you are only pushing 600watts ( you probably listed the max output anyway, so the RMS value is less.)
Your battery probably just gave up the ghost.
Test your alternator by running the multimeter across the battery when the car is running (given your battery is good) it should read ~14.4 volts.

Better grounds and power wires will help more than a capacitor. Upgrade your ground wire from frame to engine, ground from battery to frame, power from alternator to battery, etc.
On 600 "watts" a stock electrical system is more than enough. I was drawing almost 130amps on a stock '97 Civic EX alternator with 0/1 wire for my power and grounds, granted I had two Kinetik HC800's in the back but still.
Aftermarket alts for our cars a so much money, and not worth it. As I recall, the stock one is around 70amps, and the biggest I've seen in a while is only around 100amps.

i took it into autozone (because i had a durlast) and they replaced it for me for free so i have a brand new battery...
but on certain songs, with my amp disconnected, my head unit screen flickers and dims really bad which is what it did when my battery was dying

Check your grounds.
