P72-2 head
okay i believe the 93 GSR heads are not P72. they may be PR3 or something. but anyway, if the last number on the head is greater than 5, than it gets bumped up a year. (to a 94 in yourcase)
so the fist number is a 93 right? now look all the way over to the last number on the head stamp on the right. if it is greater than 5, than it is a 94 head. i know cuz i have the same one as you and a honda guru told me. PEACE

Maybe a JDM head... P72 components were released in that model year in japan. If its stamped P72, its a GSR head...
I really wish HT hadn't gone to this new format... much of the searchable links with ALL of this info has vanished... SIGH.....

The P72 head is as already mentioned a newer GSR design. Yes, production even in the US would have started in late 1993, so a number of 1994 models would gave been sold the fall of 1993 with that stamping on the cylinder head cast.
the actual 92-93 gsr, the B17 other people are thinking about was basically a slightly stroked B16 with a PR3 head.
