I BOUGHT A VTEC HEAD AND I DONT KNOW WHAT IT CAME OFF OF. how do you tell what year head it is and what it came off of. the kid told me it might be a 93 gsr head. if this is true could it be a b17 head. it is defiently a b series head DOCH.

 

look on the head, right under the valve cover. there are a couple of little circles with numbers in them. the first 2 numbers are the year. so if it reads 93, it was made in 1993, BUT it was made for the 1994 GSR. so it is a b18c1 and not a b17 if it says 93, but if it says 92, than it was made for the 1993 GSR making it a b17 head.
