Difference between b17/b18c

I just bought a gsr head and the guy told me it was off a 93, b18c. I can only find in 93 the b17. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the two? The head has p72 stamped on it.

What numbers are stamped on the head above the exhaust ports?

9/3 1/0 5/2 /8
The 5/2 is upside dpwn and the 8 is straight.

The 92-93 gs-r only had the B17.

if it says 93 on the head its most likely out of a 94 gsr.

exactly

. and seeing that the head has P72 stamped on it, it's definitely a B18c head and not a B17 a head which is a Pr3 head.
