Default Have a H2b question.

Hey guys whats up. I'm new here and Have a 94 Civic cx hatch with a H22 motorswap. I've done a few small things to the motor but nothing big. My question is, I've been reading alot lately about the H2b tranny convertion.. and how its alot easier to drive and knocks your ET's down quite a bit Seeing in how the stock H22 tranny sucks. I've also heard of the ITR tranny convertion. Both are not cheap and even more if you have someone else do the install for you but whitch one is better and going to help your ET's the most and in the long run, Plus would it be just plain out better to just stop spending money on the H22 all together and with the tranny convertion money and add a few thousand with it and just go for a K20 swap?

Thanks..

go h2b the part that sucks the most is how expensive everything is tho you have to be a plate to bolt it up which is like 600 plus for a good one and i would use the b16 tranny if you looking for low et times really short gears would be a nice setup to do my friend does 11's all motor h2b in a ef

Ok. So the b16 is the tranny to use. Think I read that somewhere else too. and my shop Humble performance has a couple of those I believe.. I found a complete H2b kit at umm well its called a Evo h2b kit. comes with EVERYTHING even a 9# flywheel and password jdm makes a bracket to move the alternater in the correct spot. only bad thing is its a tad over a grand then buying the tranny/clutch/axles and half shafts/shift linkage/ect ect. it could get expensive! Thats why I was also asking if a K20 swap would be easier lol.. Thanks for the reply bro.

ITR tranny ftw. Since its already equipped with an lsd. Or if you know how to disassemble and reassemble trannys, you could do a b16 and install an aftermarket lsd. The latter is what I would do. And K swaps aren't cheap. You're out the door minimum 5.5K just for parts.

I believe with the EVO kit you dont need hood spacers But could be mistaken. and na my cars red and from Tulsa OKla. and I plan on going boost asap. I was going to try the all motor route this time since my last car was boosted but lot more options with boost... and yeah think I'll just go H2b and keep the H22, hell its all ready in there now. Its just like I said I wanna go boost and without building my motor my tuner told me I could do safely (DD) about 10# and around 300whp. where I've seen my tuner make well over 400+ in a stock K20 running around 20# boost. But my head is all ready built so I guess that just leaves the bottom end.. Thanks guys.

Yeah I could do either one.... Lsd installs are pretty straight forward and simple so thats an option and b16 trannys are way cheaper than the ITR ones but would be nice to have!!

I think even while ur inside the tranny then you might think about upgrading to Gear-speeds Carbon syncros. And as cheap as the OBX lsds are, picking one of those up and blueprinting it would be a great option.

1000+ for some people is, considering you still need the b series tranny, axles, h22 motor and other things.
