Default Probs with civic ef

Hey all, have this minor prob when I step on the gas seems the motor missing (sounds like a volkswagon) then it's ok and when I step on it again sounds as described, There was a new distributor last year. I changed the plugs, still the same, my friend said might be the fuel filter, changed that, still the same, any idea what it might be??

Thanks all
Marc

Compression check - might have a bad cylinder.
READ the plugs - don't just change them. Might have an ignition issue.

it just started doing that 3 days ago, and the plugs looks ok to my knoledge but i'll go to my buds place and ask him to do a compression test, if a cylinder facked, i'll do a b16 swap. I currently have the d15b2.

Check the inside of the distributor, see if the cap or rotor is corroded, also check to make sure there are no breaks in the spark plug wires.

Also do a compression test just to make sure like 4drEF said.

was it converted to multiport? if so check your wiring. loose wires would cause shorts to the dist.

Actually I filled up the other day and added cleaner for my injectors, and it seems to be doing it's job. Kinda weird eh!! It's 95% ok now so if anyone is having probs like me it looks like the injectors are nasty dirty!

Cheers to all!!
