cutting rear coilover springs ???
i have the rear springs set to its lowest point but i still have like an inch or more well gap so i was wondering if i could cut a coil so i can go even lower ?? i got the imitations tommotorsport adjustable springs spring rate 350 for the rear. so has anyone done this before ??? i'm thinking it will screw up the spring rate....i need some answers ASAP cuz i'm gonna be doing it today
oh yeah is it possible that the GC springs that come with their coilovers, would be able to fit on other collars???

stock struts hell no!!! i just want to go lower on the rear and the only option i got is to cut it since like i said its set at the lowest point.
Lower does NOT equal better - PERIOD!!!
I guess you want looks only, because lowering your car that much will make it handle like ****.
You will have absolutely no suspension travel like that, and I'm betting that you already don't anyways.
I actually raised my car up some when I bought new Konis with custom Eibach ERS springs, and the car handles so much better and rides much better too.
Do what you want to, but cutting springs is 100% ghetto and retarded IMo because iot ruins wahtever quality (if any) the spring already had.

It just occured to me that you might want to knock the lower spring cup off your rear struts if you're wanting it to sit lower.
Is the coil-over spring perch sitting on that big-*** cup where the springs usually sit on the bottom of the strut?
If so, then grab up a hammer or a drimmel and knock off and/or cut off the spot welds that hold that cup onto the strut body, but be careful as you could damage the strut body if you're bot careful.
...but it will still probably ride like **** and handle the same too if you go too low.
