Default question on slamming ej8

whats up guys,
im going to be slamming my car soon and i kinda only have enough for the coilovers. i want to get function & form type-1. do you think i should just go ahead and get the coilovers or save my money and get the coilovers, lca's,and subframe all at the same time.

O also i heard you dont even really need the lca's and subframe. if u just get good coilovers you should be fine if your not doing any track racing.Do u really need these?

get the function and form they are great.

no you dont NEED any of those for street cars, inless your upgradeing sway bar, and then its still just a good thing to have,
lcas really dont do anything,

if you want them, get them, but you dont need them

i would buy the coilovers and put them on. U can always save up on the side and buy more parts later on. And get a alingment after u put on ur coilovers

what all do they do when they align your car?
they dont have to mess with the coilovers n height of the car right?does that have anything to do with your alignment?

all I know is whoever did my alignment sucks because my car sits higher on 1 side than the other because of the camber differences. the car goes straight at lower speeds and stuff but the other day at 145KM/H you really noticed it. Not a hard pull but a slight one to the side thats higher because of the camber difference. I'm thinking about fixing it myself but I hate to mess it up, then again its already screwed up.

Just get the coilovers. I'm slammed on type 1's and they handle great. i dont think lca's and subframe are necessary, but thats my opinion.

you will be fine with just the coilovers, i'm glad to see someone actually spending the money on a good suspension rather than the cheapest coilover sleeve/shock combo that won't last more than 2 years.

The LCA's and subframe brace can wait. the only reason i always buy rear LCA's when i do my suspension for the first time on a new car i just avoid dealing with the shock bolts that always seize, but that's also typical of a car here up north, you're in Florida so you shouldn't have a problem.

I myself have Type-1's and have yet to get an alignment. I need to begin tackling it down soon.

50-100 bascily the only thing you need to have adjusted is toe, camber cant be adjusted w/o a kit on civics, so if you can only get the toe done it may even be cheeper,

i take it to the one right by US1 and like 13X street (i forget the #). Its right across the street from BP & Walgreens (if you know what im talking about, by briar bay and the falls, its by where all those car shops and stuff are behind where CVS and stuff is off of 136)

i got like lifetime for $200 I think. I'm not sure how much it costs indivually. I think its like $60 or $70. My bill was $400 but its a corprate rate. I got 4 Yokohama AS430's brand new, balanced and installed along with lifetime free alignment, rotation and balancing.

oh no i dont have coilovers. I have Tien Springs on stock shocks, and I installed them with my friends. I just got the car aligned because the alignment was off since I bought the car. Idk if they will install coilovers for u, but for w/e it will cost (unless its like $10) its worth it for you to do it yourself. you can borrow a spring compressor from Advance auto. Just remember to keep the reciept otherwise you will get stuck with it (like I did). Keep your receipt safe aswell, i had mine in the trunk and the trunk leaked and destroyed it :/

You just need some tools to take the shocks off and then you put on the coilovers. its actually easier than putting on Springs because you have to **** with the stock struts to put the new springs on.
