Default Weird Clutch Noise

Last friday i went up to fort lauderdale to pickup sometihng. While I was up there it poured, so I drove through a bunch of water (very slowly). The car was running fine the whole time. I drove home and there were no noises or anything. I didnt drive on Saturday, the on Sunday morning I went out for a short drive to get some gas for the lawnmower and now its making a sssshhhh kind of noise (hard to describe). It starts to happen AS SOON as I START to push my clutch pedal and gets louder as I push it down. It also gets louder with RPM. I have no CEL's and the car runs and drives perfectly fine other than this noise.
Any idea what it is or how to fix it? because its annoying and pretty loud (especially when pushing the clutch to shift gears since the RPM is higher).

Noised produced when pushing down the clutch pedal is often a sign of a bad throw out/release bearing.

damnit. Would it just go bad overnight like that? without the car even being driven?
Thats what i was afraid it was but I really dont want to have to take the whole car apart and take out the tranny and clutch again when I just put the car together a couple of months ago

Post a video of the sound and how it is caused so that you can get other opinions.

id say its the throwout bearing. if the water was deep enough, it could have submerged it, and dried it now, now leading to your noise...

well it wasn't that deep. But def deep enough to get water on the flywheel/clutch. I was figuring that I got water in it and now it has to dry, but it's been 4 days.
I'll try to make a vid tomorrow.

Its safe to drive like this though right? Like my clutch isn't gonna just go out at some time?
