95 integra LS no mods nothing, motor only has 77K original miles, runs fine but eats so much gas, no check engine light nothing, evrything is stock never modify! what else can i check for?? pleae help me save gas!!

 

how many mpg do you actually get?

 

i am going through the same thing. mine has 133k miles though, but damn, I only get like 17 mpg in town!!!!!

 

not sure but i get around only 200-220 full tank

 

then you get the same as me cause i only get 200 per tank no matter what gas i put in..in fact 93 seems to last a bit longer?????

 

usually in the past, when i was getting poor gas mileage in my old cars, it was either an o2 sensor, spark plugs, or oil change, but o2 sensor usually makes the biggest improvement..dunno

 

Have you done any of the usual tune up things on it ? Cap/rotor,plugs and plug wires, Air filter, fuel filter. If not that would be a good start.

I'm pretty sure it's your o2 sensor. I've been through this before, and I was getting poor gas mileage. My timing was also retarded from the previous owner who got into an accident with it. My advice is check your o2 sensor and timing first because it plays a huge role when it comes to gas mileage. If you continue to get bad gas mileage after that, check spark plugs, distributor, and do a compression test if needed. Also check your exhaust system, just in case if your running straight pipe with no catalytic converter or bigger pipping than stock.

 

i have a 96 LS and bone stock i get well over 400 miles a tank. Its got to be your driving style. or something horribly wrong with your motor

 

dang 400 mileage for a full tank?hahahaha damm either your cheating or something hahahaha.I only get like 350 max and I drive hella slow lol.What's your secret?lol.I get good gas mileage too but not as good as you lol but at the same time I do 0-60 in 7 sec stock in my 97 ls SE.
